Can you believe there are only 10 days till Christmas?! Where has the month of December gone? I’m so far behind but very excited to finally share our little 2016 Holiday Home Tour with you!
A Rustic Glam Christmas!
Some of you know I participated in The Home Depot Holiday Style Challenge and although it set the theme for the décor, I did add other items once the challenge was complete. The theme is always rustic in my house but with the copper and sequins I guess you could say it’s a rustic glam Christmas this year!
The greenery is all flocked and I added fairy lights and copper wire to all the antlers in the house. There are always going to be shades of white and wood tones in my home all year round but I love the way a few added white looks bring everything to life.
The Dining Room
I had to add a DIY project as always! This year it is the copper pipe chandelier. It was so easy to make with store bought silver beaded garland. You can see the full tutorial here on The Home Depot Blog. I love the way it turned out and am wondering if I can get away with leaving it up all year! 😉
The Living Room
I continued the wintery – metallic theme into the next room. There is a soft fluffy sheepskin on the back of the couch and flocked greenery just about everywhere! For a quick statement piece above the fireplace I painted a faux brick panel with some white paint. I added a painted black frame and hung a wreath in the center. Copper ornaments and sparkly connect the theme from the dining room.
Since my home is small with an open concept I kept right on decorating into the kitchen. I placed a few extra tree ornaments on the kitchen table with thrifted copper chargers. There are a few glittery copper and silver bottle brush trees on the island. A small flocked tree and copper foil advent calendar bring it all together.
I really hope you enjoyed my first holiday tour! It really is my favorite time of year and I am so thankful to be able to now share it on my blog with all of you!
Happy Holidays to you and your families!
