Shop the house design challenge: week three!
Welcome back to week three of the Shop the house design challenge! Since it’s the fall edition you had to know the pumpkins would be making an appearance at some point! I’m not heading to the pumpkin patch until next weekend with my family so these little faux fellas from last year will have to do. They are the perfect size to sit on top of my candlesticks and even stack on top of each other.
Pumpkins and candlesticks!
This week was really an easy one. It seriously took me about 5 minutes! I walked through the house gathering all my candlesticks and started placing the pumpkins on top. I wanted a little more height so I grabbed a few books from my mantle and sat the black candlesticks on top of them. I am sticking with my neutral theme but this year I really want to add pops of orange for Fall. You heard that right! I am adding color!
Add a few vintage pieces!
When I realized I didn’t have enough candlesticks, I went to my china cabinet (AKA my hutch-full-o-junk) and found a pewter goblet for one of the baby boos to sit on. I like the mix of metal with the wood and old books. Everything seems to look better when you add a few vintage pieces!
